On the morning of November 7, Ms. So Thi Ngo, residing in Tan Hai village, Tay Son commune, Dak Lak province, said that she had sent her thanks to the timely support of Tay Son commune police when storm No. 13 made landfall.
The authorities crossed the forest to overcome the storm, helping the family take their daughter S.T.T.X (born in 2022) to the hospital for emergency care.
Ms. So Thi Ngo said that on the evening of November 6, when storm No. 13 made landfall, there was a storm of heavy rain outside, and X had a sudden abdominal pain and cried for unknown reasons.
Both she and her husband asked many people to take the child to the hospital for emergency care, but no one dared to get out because of the storm and danger.
Immediately afterwards, Major Tong Quang Phuong, Captain Pham Dinh Than and Lieutenant Phung Xuan Hien (Tay Son Commune Police) traveled through the storm, traveling more than 45km of forest road, overcoming many fallen trees along the road to take X to a medical facility for emergency care and safe treatment.
At that time, the road was rough and the wind was very strong. Trees are falling all over the road, police officers have to try to pull the trees out. When they got close to the hospital, the fallen trees blocked the road and they could not go, so they had to go around another road.
When arriving at the hospital, the tree continued to fall, and the brothers took the child on foot to the emergency room, Ms. So Thi Ngo added.
