On October 28, the People's Committee of Ben Cat Ward (HCMC) organized a ceremony to reward 4 collectives and 71 individuals with achievements in relief work for people, prevention and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.
Speaking at the ceremony, the leaders of Ben Cat ward praised the sense of responsibility, positivity, and bravery in saving people of the collectives and individuals in relief work for the people.
Ms. Tran Thi Thao - Chairman of Ben Cat Ward People's Committee hopes that collectives and individuals will continue to advise the Party Committee and People's Committee of the ward on appropriate plans and strategies for each level, promptly handling situations that occur in the area. At the same time, review the damage to people caused by natural disasters to have appropriate and timely support plans.

In addition, Ms. Tran Thi Thao also requested that sectors coordinate with each other to continue reviewing and assessing the causes and risks of flooding in the area, thereby having fundamental solutions, implementing safety, ensuring the property and lives of local people.
Previously, after a prolonged heavy rain on the night of October 22, the large water flow, leading to flooding in Lai Khe, Cau Doi areas... affected people's property and facilities. Some areas in Ben Cat were flooded 1-2 m deep, rescue forces safely rescued about 160 people to safe areas.
