On August 31, Dong Hoi Ward Police (Quang Tri province) said that they had just received and returned 70 million VND and many papers to the person who dropped them.
Previously, while walking on Ta Quang Buu street, Dong Hoi ward, Mr. Hoang Quang Minh (born 2004) discovered a nylon bag containing 70 million VND in cash, some personal papers and a bank card.
Immediately after discovering the above property, Mr. Minh brought the entire amount to Dong Hoi Ward Police to report, voluntarily handed it over and asked the police force to verify and find the owner.
Receiving the property, Dong Hoi Ward Police proceeded to count, make a record and verify related information.
Through verification, the police force identified the legal owner of the money and documents as Mr. Nguyen Hai Son, residing in Dong Thuan ward, Quang Tri province.
After completing the procedures according to regulations, Dong Hoi Ward Police fully returned 70 million VND along with documents and bank cards to Mr. Son.
According to Dong Hoi Ward Police, Mr. Hoang Quang Minh's proactive handover of the stolen property shows his awareness of law compliance and responsibility to the community.
