Lao patient who dropped nearly 40 million VND when coming for examination at Bach Mai Hospital has been refunded the full amount.

On the morning of August 3, at about 7 am, while coming for examination at the Center for Medical Examination and Treatment during the day (K1 building) of Bach Mai Hospital, Ms. Pham Thi Duyen picked up a bundle of money tied with a rubber band containing many banknotes of 500,000 VND denomination.

Immediately after discovering it, Ms. Duyen quickly informed the medical staff and handed over the entire amount of money to the security department of the hospital's Administration and Management Department to find the person who dropped it.

At 7:25 am on the same day, at the cashier counter on the 3rd floor of building K1, security forces received and sealed a sum of money including 79 banknotes of 500,000 VND denomination, with a total value of 39.5 million VND.

After that, the security department coordinated with the Center for Medical Examination and Treatment to urgently verify the owner information. Through inspection, it was determined that the money belonged to patient Yongma Bounyonglor (born in 1954, Lao nationality), who came for examination at Bach Mai Hospital and accidentally dropped it.

After completing the verification procedures according to regulations, the Administrative Management Department in coordination with the Medical Examination and Treatment Center on the same day fully returned the money to the patient.

The quick recovery of property made patients and their families express emotion, and at the same time acknowledged the sense of responsibility of the hospital staff as well as the honest actions of the person who picked it up.

Representatives of Bach Mai Hospital assessed that Ms. Pham Thi Duyen's gesture and the responsible coordination of the Security Department and the Medical Examination and Treatment Center during the day contributed to spreading the image of a safe, civilized, and humane medical examination and treatment environment, putting patients at the center.

The hospital also sent thanks to Ms. Pham Thi Duyen and praised the collective of the Security Department - Administration and Administration Department and the Daily Medical Examination and Treatment Center for their meaningful actions, contributing to spreading good values in the community.
