Phung Khoang Lake Park project has been put into operation to serve the people since January 15, 2025.
Phung Khoang Lake Park Project (located in Nam Tu Liem and Thanh Xuan districts), with a total investment of more than 3,483 billion VND, is invested by the Joint Venture of Hanoi Housing Development and Investment Corporation and Urban Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company with a scale of 11.8 hectares.According to Lao Dong's records on the afternoon of January 17, 2025, after nearly a month of construction, the park has now completed nearly 90% of the volume, and all important items have been renovated.The investor has also temporarily handed over the project to the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District. The parties agreed to put the Phung Khoang Lake Park project (excluding the regulating lake) into operation to serve the people from January 15.Currently, the investor is continuing to complete the project according to the approved planning and design.Thus, with the handover of Phung Khoang Lake Park items to put into operation to serve the people before the Lunar New Year 2025, the investor has completed ahead of schedule, fulfilling the order and commitment with the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh at the recent meeting of the Steering Committee of the City People's Committee to implement measures to prevent and combat waste (November 20, 2024). According to information from the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District, on the eve of the Lunar New Year 2025, the People's Committee of the district will coordinate with the Capital Command to organize low-altitude artillery fire at Phung Khoang Lake Park.Mr. Vu Van Anh (residing on To Huu Street, Trung Van Ward) shared that since Phung Khoang Park was renovated, this area has become airy, clean and modern, in sync with the infrastructure. People also have more green and airy space, making everyone excited.Workers water the planted areas and replace new plants and flowers to create landscaping.The small island area on the lake was cleared of weeds, leaving only a few trees for landscaping.To meet the schedule, hundreds of workers were mobilized to the project site and worked day and night.
Previously, on November 20, 2024, immediately after establishing the Steering Committee on waste prevention in the city, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee - Tran Sy Thanh held a meeting and requested relevant units to find solutions for Phung Khoang Lake Park because it had been abandoned for many years, causing great waste.
The Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee has directed the Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee - Duong Duc Tuan to closely monitor the progress of site clearance in Nam Tu Liem and Thanh Xuan districts, and must complete it by December 15 at the latest to hand over the site to the investor to construct the remaining part of the project.
