According to the plan, the inter-port route of Nhon Trach district is more than 15 km long, the starting point of the route connects with the boundary of Ong Keo industrial park and the end point of the route connects with the entrance to Viet Thuan Thanh port.

The project will be invested in phases, in which phase 1 is nearly 9 km long and divided into 2 sections.

Section 1, nearly 7 km long, starts at Ong Mai canal, Phu Dong commune; ends at the intersection with Ly Thai To street, Phu Huu commune. Section 2, nearly 2 km long, starts at the intersection with Ly Thai To street; ends at the Viet Thuan Thanh port junction.

To implement the Nhon Trach district inter-port road project phase 1, Nhon Trach district will have to reclaim about 52 hectares of land and resettle about 250 households.

This is an important transportation project that lays the foundation for the construction and formation of Dong Nai port area (Dong Nai river) and Phu Huu port area (Dong Nai river section and Long Tau - Nha Be river section of Ho Chi Minh City) according to the plan.
