This information was shared by Mr. Ho Quoc Dung - Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee at the Conference to summarize the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee.
The person who voluntarily asked to retire early was Mr. Nguyen Gio - Head of the Organization Committee of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee. Secretary Ho Quoc Dung said: "Comrade Nguyen Gio said that he would retire in May 2025, but if it affected the arrangement, he would ask to retire early, considering this an exemplary act."
Some people will think that with only 5 months left until retirement, it is normal to ask for early retirement, even if they stay, they will not be appointed to any position because they are past the age limit.
But let's look at the positive side of an official's early resignation. First of all, it helps streamline the organization of officials, secondly, it influences many people to proactively resign early, that's why we say "exemplary".
Those who resign early are sacrificing their personal interests for the common good. Not all people who resign are doing so because they are incompetent. Not to mention, there are many talented people who have found good jobs for themselves, so they "give" their place to others.
Secretary Ho Quoc Dung said: "The arrangement will have comrades staying, some comrades will quit or have to transfer agencies. That is to serve the "new revolution", not because the comrades failed to complete their tasks. I hope that comrades will always be proud of what they have done, do not think that it is because you cannot do it that you are being arranged."
However, not everyone can do a good job. Those who are not competent should withdraw and resign early. Don't make it difficult for the organizers. Since you have to resign anyway, it's better to choose a way with self-respect and responsibility.
Through the story of Mr. Nguyen Gio's early retirement, we hope that many people will take early retirement, creating favorable conditions for streamlining the apparatus and merging units in ministries, branches and localities.
Speaking at the internal affairs sector summary conference on the morning of December 21, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh said that the restructuring of the apparatus will affect and impact about 100,000 people.
If, among the 100,000 people affected, many proactively ask for early retirement and arrange their own work or life, that is a very good thing for the common good. Of course, those officials who quit their jobs due to the streamlining of the apparatus must be supported to ensure a stable life.
