Salted melon (sward melon)
Salted melon is a rustic dish, often found in family meals. Many people like to eat pickled melons because their salty and sour taste helps stimulate the taste buds, especially when eaten with congee or rice. However, pickled melon is a fermented food that contains a very high amount of salt. When eaten in excess, the amount of sodium from salt will accumulate in the body.
The kidneys are the organs that have to filter and excrete this sodium ions. If eaten regularly, excess sodium will cause the body to retain water, increase blood pressure, make the kidneys work too hard, and in the long run, easily lead to impaired kidney function, even kidney failure.
Red meat
Red meat such as beef, pork, and Lamb provides a lot of protein and nutrients for the body. However, eating too much red meat is not good for the kidneys.
The reason is because red meat contains a lot of saturated fat, which can disrupt the body's metabolism and detoxification, putting pressure on the kidneys. Regular consumption of red meat also increases the risk of high blood fat, causing atherosclerosis, including the blood vessels in the kidneys, thereby leading to chronic kidney disease. Therefore, you should balance the amount of red meat consumed, not eat it too often.
Sweet sour ribs, sweet sour fish
Familiar dishes such as sweet and sour ribs or sweet and sour fish often contain a lot of sugar. Eating too much sugar not only increases the risk of obesity but can also easily lead to diabetes, one of the leading causes of kidney failure.
