On the afternoon of December 15, news from An Phuoc General Hospital (Lam Dong province) said that the hospital currently has 23 patients being treated, monitoring symptoms of suspected food poisoning.
Lam Dong Provincial Department of Health said that a suspected food poisoning incident had just occurred in Phan Thiet area, causing 44 people to be hospitalized. Of which, 36 cases were treated at An Phuoc General Hospital, 4 cases at Binh Thuan General Hospital and 4 cases at Phan Thiet Regional Medical Center.

Since the afternoon of December 12, the above hospitals have received many people hospitalized with stomach pain, vomiting, multiple diarrhea, fever... Doctors diagnosed intestinal infections caused by bacteria, monitored food poisoning.
Cases were recorded in many localities, mainly workers, housewives, freelance workers, students.
Through medical history, the coincidence is that most patients have previously confessed to eating cold-fleshed bread at the same bread truck in Phan Thiet ward.
In particular, the family of Mr. P.T.X (residing in Binh Thuan ward) said that they bought a pate box from this bread truck. After many family members used it, 10 people showed symptoms of suspected food poisoning.

Of these, 6 people had to be hospitalized at An Phuoc General Hospital for treatment. The remaining 4 people have mild symptoms and are being monitored at home.
In response to the incident, the Lam Dong Provincial Department of Health has requested relevant units to urgently coordinate in handling the case to minimize the consequences. The provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Department has issued a decision to temporarily suspend the operation of the related business establishment to serve the investigation.
At the same time, the Department presides over the collection of food samples, traceability, monitoring the development of cases and synthesizing reports according to regulations.
Phan Thiet Ward People's Committee is required to coordinate in verifying the incident, supervising the temporary suspension of business establishments and strengthening food safety inspection in the area
