On the morning of November 10, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that Tu Du Hospital, Facility 2, located in Can Gio commune, officially came into operation.
Tu Du Hospital, Facility 2, is formed according to the professional linkage model between Tu Du Hospital - the leading obstetrics and gynecology hospital in the city and the city's first-class general and specialized hospitals such as Le Van Thinh Hospital, City Children's Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City Eye Hospital, Earache Hospital, City Dentistry Hospital, Rehabilitation Hospital and Occupational Diseases, Traditional Medicine Hospital, Dermatology Hospital, in coordination with the 115 Emergency Center.
Tu Du Hospital, Facility 2, has come into operation to bring specialized medical services to people in remote areas, helping to reduce referral, saving time and travel costs for pregnant women, children and patients in Can Gio and neighboring areas. Strengthen the capacity for emergency care and on-site treatment, especially in high-risk obstetrics, newborn emergency care and common accidents.
At the same time, develop strong grassroots health care, connect the city and ward and commune levels in the same continuous health care network.
In terms of scale and professional capacity, Tu Du Hospital, Facility 2, has a scale of 300 beds, including the Emergency - Resuscitation Department, the Examination Department with full specialties, the Obstetrics - Gynecology Department, the Pediatrics Department, the General Internal Medicine - Nephrology Department, the Surgery Department and the Preclinical Department.
In addition to doctors from Tu Du Hospital, there are also doctors who are seconded in rotation from general and specialized hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City, ensuring treatment quality equivalent to that of the city.
