Besides, limiting salt is a key factor in protecting the kidneys. Eating salty food in the evening not only increases blood pressure but also causes water retention, creating great pressure on the kidneys.

At the same time, controlling potassium and phosphorus levels is also very necessary, especially for people who have shown signs of kidney function decline.

An ideal dinner should be balanced between groups of substances, with the presence of green vegetables, easily digestible starch and a small amount of high-quality protein such as fish or tofu. Green vegetables not only provide fiber but also support the detoxification process, helping the excretory system function more smoothly.

Another important factor is that no matter how busy you are, family members should arrange time to have dinner early, about 2-3 hours before going to bed. This also helps the body have enough time to digest, reducing pressure on both the digestive system and the kidneys throughout the night.

Drinking enough water in the evening is very necessary, but it is necessary to avoid drinking too much right before bed to avoid disrupting sleep or creating sudden pressure on the kidneys. A moderate amount of water will help maintain stable urine flow, supporting the blood filtration process.
