On July 16, Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee launched a 100-day campaign to create and update electronic health records on the VNeID application through inter-connection of health check-up data and medical examination and treatment data in the province.
The campaign focuses on connecting and interlinking periodic health check-up data, screening and medical examination and treatment data from medical facilities, building a unified personal health database to serve the management of people's health according to the life cycle. On a synchronized data platform, the Electronic Health Record on VNeID will be created, updated and put into practical use.

Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee requests medical examination and treatment facilities to review, standardize and update periodic health check-up data that has been performed before July 1, 2026 on the Health Data Portal of the Ministry of Health; collect complete information to create an electronic health record, ensuring accurate data, which is compared with the National Population Database.
Health units must also deploy inter-connection of health check-up and medical examination and treatment data for people without health insurance through API, and at the same time coordinate with provincial Social Insurance to synchronize medical examination and treatment data shared from Vietnam Social Insurance into personal health databases.
Director of Ca Mau Department of Health Nguyen Chi Thanh said that Ca Mau has organized 4 health check-ups and screenings for people, reaching 65.5% of the province's population; health insurance coverage rate reached 99.6%. In addition to clinical examinations, people are also given electrocardiograms, general abdominal ultrasound and tests as prescribed by doctors.
According to the health sector, the deployment of Electronic Health Records on VNeID not only helps people conveniently look up health information and medical examination and treatment history but also improves the efficiency of management and administration, and promotes digital transformation of the health sector. In parallel, the province continues to promote communication, encourage people to have periodic health check-ups, early screening, contributing to improving population quality and building a healthy community.
