How to make crispy grilled jackfruit
Ingredient:
- 200 grams of seedless jackfruit flesh
- 5 grams garlic powder
- 5 grams onion powder
- 5 grams black pepper
- Coarse salt (to taste)
- 30 grams of rice flour
- Chili powder (to taste)
- Olive oil to sprinkle on the brine
- 2 sheets of oil paper
- Baking tray
Step 1: Wash jackfruit, cut into bite-sized pieces, drain.
Step 2: Once the jackfruit strips are dry, add rice flour, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper and chili powder to the jackfruit strips and coat evenly, set aside.
Step 3: Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Step 4: Take a baking tray and line it with parchment paper.
Step 5: Spread the jackfruit strips evenly on the tray, drizzle a little olive oil and sprinkle salt on top.
Step 6: Place the tray in the oven and bake the jackfruit for 5 - 10 minutes (until crispy). Check the tray frequently to avoid burning the jackfruit.
Step 7: When the jackfruit is ripe, remove them from the oven, let them cool and enjoy.
