1 piece fresh ginger, peeled and grated root
15ml fresh lemon juice
10ml honey
50ml water

A pinch of cayenne pepper
Making:
First, wash the ginger and grate it into thin strips.
In a blender or small food processor, blend grated ginger, lemon juice, honey and water, adding turmeric and cayenne pepper if desired.
Blend mixture until smooth, strain through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean container, pressing the pulp to extract all the liquid.
Pour juice into glass, drink immediately for maximum effect.
If making a larger quantity, store the ginger water in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. Shake well before using.
