Drink a glass of water as soon as you wake up
Staying hydrated is one of the simplest ways to control your blood sugar. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, when you're dehydrated, your body holds less water and your blood sugar becomes more concentrated.
So start your day with a glass of warm water, then continue to prioritize/remember to drink water throughout the day. Drinking water regularly and properly is good for your body; you should avoid sugary drinks like soda.
Drink coffee properly
If coffee is an essential part of your morning routine, there's no need to give it up completely. It's important to be mindful of how coffee can affect your blood sugar, especially if you have a sweet tooth.
Avoid adding sweeteners or use only very small amounts if you really need sweetness.
Instead of sugary cream, try a little whole cow's milk or unsweetened almond or soy milk. Sipping coffee with breakfast can also help provide steady energy.
