Previously, on March 18, the Center received information from the Regional Health Station about a male dog (about 2 years old, gray-brown) biting someone. Through verification, the dog of a household in Group 6, Thang Hiep neighborhood bit 3 people.
After that, the owner destroyed the dog. The sample sent for testing tested positive for rabies virus. Currently, 3 bitten people have been vaccinated and vaccinated against rabies.
The Center recommends that people who have been in contact with or bitten by the dog on the rake should go to a medical facility to report, be consulted and vaccinated in time.
Pets that have been in contact with sick dogs need to be kept in captivity and monitored for 14 days; if there are abnormal signs or death, immediately report to functional agencies.
According to the Lam Dong Provincial Sub-Department of Livestock and Veterinary Medicine, in 2025, the whole province recorded 11 cases of rabies in dogs and cats in 7 communes and wards, posing a potential risk of spread.
In the coming time, localities will continue to promote vaccination, manage livestock, not let them roam freely and promptly detect and handle suspected cases of disease.
