Thai Binh General Hospital is one of three key projects in Hung Yen province that started construction on August 19 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The project is built on a campus of more than 12 hectares, with a scale of 1,200 beds, planned to expand to 1,500 beds. The hospital is designed according to the "green - smart hospital" model, with trees and landscape.
The project has an overall scale including: functional buildings, auxiliary items, shared technical infrastructure, medical equipment systems and modern technology.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Quang Hung emphasized that Hung Yen province has been actively implementing a number of important socio-economic infrastructure projects. Some projects in the health sector, after completion and putting into operation and use, have promoted investment efficiency, met the needs of medical examination, treatment and health care of the people, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the locality.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province also affirmed that the province's health system has had many positive changes in recent times, from facilities, equipment to staff capacity, the quality of medical examination and treatment has been increasingly improved, many specialized techniques have been effectively implemented.


Accordingly, the goal is to build a special provincial-level general hospital, contributing to solving the current overload situation, while completing the network of medical facilities according to the province's development plan for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.
With its stature and modern development orientation, Thai Binh General Hospital is expected to become a high-quality medical center in the region, not only meeting the increasing demand for medical examination and treatment but also a fulcrum for research and application of science and technology in the medical field.
