On July 11, information from Nghe An Department of Health said that recently, through inspection, the authorities discovered a number of fake tea mixed drug samples in a number of private drug brands.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the provincial health sector has directed the Nghe An Center for Drug, Cosmetic and Food Testing to take 628 samples for testing, detecting 3 samples of cosmetics and medicinal herbs that are not of good quality and 6 samples of fake drugs at private pharmacies in Nghi Loc district (old) and Vinh city (old).
All violations have been recorded and handled according to regulations.
At the same time, since the beginning of the year, the health sector has inspected 53 business establishments and handled violations against 8 establishments. Quality monitoring activities are maintained regularly with about 1,000 samples/year to promptly detect substandard products.
To overcome the above situation, Nghe An Department of Health aims to continue reforming licensing procedures, perfecting practice data software, and publicizing the list of violating facilities. In addition, the industry has strengthened inter-sectoral coordination and local authorities to inspect, examine and strictly handle violations. The inspection and sampling of products circulating on the market will be further promoted.
The health sector will apply information technology to trace the origin, manage data on import invoices and daily drug sales at pharmacies. The Department also requested the staff, civil servants, and workers of the whole industry to raise their responsibility, absolutely not assisting in the consumption of products of unknown origin. Any information violations will be received and handled promptly to deter and protect people's health.
