On May 8, the Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health) said that three health protection food products including Vy & Tea Herbal Tea, Dao Hoa Ngoc and Smen have just had their registration documents withdrawn by the authorities. The decision was made because the products did not meet legal regulations on food safety.
According to Decision No. 192/QD-ATTP issued on May 6, 2025, the three above products were revoked because they no longer meet food safety regulations under Decree 15/2018/ND-CP of the Government. Specifically:
Vy & Tea herbal tea, receipt number 1179/2018/DKSP, issued on April 9, 2018
Dao Hoa Ngoc, receipt number 320/2018/DKSP, issued on March 21, 2018
Smen, receipt number 9413/2019/DKSP, issued on August 5, 2019
All three products were announced by Ha Vy Trading Service Company Limited (address: No. 45, Group 1, National Highway 14, Son Hiep Village, Tho Son Commune, Bu Dang District, Binh Phuoc Province). The decision takes effect from the date of signing.
The competent authority requires businesses to be responsible for stopping the circulation of the above products, carrying out recall and report the results to the Department of Food Safety according to regulations.
Previously, the Food Safety Department also recommended that consumers should be vigilant with health protection food products with signs of false advertising, unknown origin, or violating regulations on disclosure content.
Tightening control and recalling unsatisfactory products is one of the measures to protect consumers' health and ensure the transparency of the functional food market.
