National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man successfully concluded his official visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia, attending the 12th Plenary Session of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP 12) and the opening session of the 11th Conference of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP 11) from November 21-24, 2024.
Earlier, on the morning of November 24, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended and delivered an important speech as a guest at the opening session of the 11th Plenary Session of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP 11) with the theme "In search of peace, reconciliation and tolerance".
The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that Vietnam supports initiatives contributing to peace and stability in the region and the world, and supports the promotion of resolving international conflicts and disputes by peaceful means, without threatening or using force, and in compliance with international law and the United Nations Charter.
The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that Vietnam highly appreciates and fully supports Cambodia’s efforts to promote dialogue, reconciliation and cooperation. As a neighboring country of Cambodia, Vietnam believes that Cambodia’s successful experiences in national development and building friendly and cooperative relations with neighboring and regional countries will contribute to promoting peace and cooperation in the region as well as in the world.
During the visit, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man had an audience with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni; met with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet; and held talks with Cambodian National Assembly Chairman Samdech Khuon Sudary.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man also attended and delivered an important speech at the 12th Plenary Session of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP 12) with the theme "In Search of Peace and Reconciliation".
