At least 19 people were injured when a car crashed into a pedestrian in central Melbourne, Australia on December 21, according to the Victoria State Emergency Service.

According to The Age, the incident occurred at the intersection on Flinders and Elizabeth streets at around 4:40 p.m. (local time).
The crowd gathered at the scene of the incident.
According to Australian police, the driver and the second man have been detained by the police.

At this stage, we believe this is a calculated case but the motive is unknown, said Victoria State Police.
According to Sky News, among the injured victims were children.
