Iran and the US have issued threats against each other after the most intense military clashes in weeks, including an attack on a wedding that Tehran blamed Washington for and called "war crimes".
President Donald Trump on September 2 (US time) declared that US forces had launched a "very heavy attack" on Iranian targets overnight and were "ready to carry out another attack whenever we want".
In response, the head of Iran's security agency warned that the US would face a "new strategy" in the war that broke out at the end of February with attacks by the US and Israel against the Islamic Republic.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned the latest "aggressive actions", affirming that on the night of September 1, the US once again violated Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity, attacking many civilian sites and service infrastructure.
