Leaders of 21 economies and 10,000 delegates attend APEC Summit Week in Da Nang

Spokesperson of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang said that Vietnam and the US are actively preparing for their visit to Vietnam and attending the APEC Summit Week 2017 of US President Donald Trump.

On September 21, at a regular press conference of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, answering the question of whether the Trump administration had confirmed its visit to Vietnam to attend the APEC Summit Week 2017, announcer Le Thi Thu Hang said that the two sides were actively arranging for the visit.

At the meeting between Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and US President Donald Trump last May, US President Donald Trump affirmed that he would visit Vietnam and attend the APEC Summit Week 2017, Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang added.

After a US visit in May, on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Hamburg - Federal Republic of Germany, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc had a bilateral meeting with President Donald Trump on July 8, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At this meeting, President Donald Trump once again affirmed that he will visit Vietnam and attend the APEC Summit in Da Nang in November 2017.

The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit Week 2017 will take place in Da Nang city from November 6 to 11.

It is expected that leaders of 21 APEC member economies and about 10,000 international and domestic delegates, including leaders of leading regional and international corporations, representatives of prestigious international organizations, will attend the activities on this occasion.
