The seeds that have been simmering for decades in the desert have bloomed and created an extremely spectacular scene. From the desert thoroughly blooming flowers in December, a wild bloom has bloomed in the Anza-Borrego desert, in such brilliant colors that it can be seen from the thousands of meters high mountain above.
In California, super flowering occurs about once a decade in a certain area, if there is a drought, that is unlikely. And when this is the second time this desert has bloomed, it is an unusual phenomenon.
Betsy Knaak, CEO of the Anza-Borrego Desert Natural History Association, traces the growth of Betsy Knaak. The Anza-Borrego Desert, with an area of 600,000 hectares, is the largest state park in California and is located in the Colorado desert in the southern part of the state.
Families, retired couples and university students went to the fields and took beautiful photos. The "super flower" in 2017 was once the most beautiful image seen in Anza-Borrego Desert Park in the past 20 years, attracting many visitors to the town of Borrego Springs located near this park.
