Durian investor Arnon Rodthong, 58, Thai, posted on social media to show off his daughter with a "rehabilitation" including 10 million baht (more than 7 billion VND), 10 cars, 1 house and his own durian empire.
Mr. Rodthong wants to marry his youngest daughter Karnsita Rodthong, 26 years old, has a degree in accounting and is helping her father in business, to a good husband.
According to Coconuts Bangkok, Mr. Rodthong has 3 requirements for the future groom:
"It doesn't require much to be too smart, just know how to read and write (please don't bring a degree)".
Caring, not lazy.
"Curry about money and love your own gold".
The billionaire posted a rent-to-enrollment message on Facebook and said he was serious about his offer.
I want someone to take care of and take over my business. I don't need a person with a bachelor's or master's degree... I just need a good person, hard-working and diligent. Not addicted to gambling or anything. That's all, I have everything else," Rodthong told Thairath.
I also dont want a groom to be as rich as me because I will give my son-in-law all my assets, Mr. Rodthong shared.
About 10,000 men have participated in the wedding and premyosapon Khongsai, 28, is the most popular person on the internet.
Khongsai's proposal received 14,000 likes in just 1 day.
I am very interested. I am 28 years old. My family also grows durian in the Trat province. We have 300 trees. I can stand the sun and rain. I can drive a 10-wheel truck and a tractor. Anon, please consider your child. Thank you, sir" - Khongsai wrote.
Karnsita's daughter also likes Khongsai and says he is "quite cute" - according to Straits Times. However, the billionaire father found him "too handsome" and did not accept him.
Premyosapon did not surpass me because he was so handsome. He could break my daughter's heart, said Mr. Rodthong.
Just 1 day after posting a proposal on Facebook, Mr. Rodthong had to delete the post on March 6, saying that it was a inconvenience to his family and work. However, the billionaire father said he would keep all his assets for the future groom.
The Straits Times quoted local media as saying that Mr. Rodthong could face legal trouble if his request for a son-in-law was discovered to be just an advertisement.
