2 leading male badminton players of Vietnam will practice domestically to prepare professionally for the 33rd SEA Games.

The coaching staff of the Vietnam Badminton Team said that the two players Le Duc Phat and Nguyen Hai Dang will not participate in any international tournament at the present time to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games.

Duc Phat and Hai Dang are expected to participate in the International Badminton Tournament in India from November 25 to November 30.

However, the two players decided to withdraw from the competition to focus on preparing professionally in Vietnam. Thus, Duc Phat and Hai Dang will practice in Bac Ninh at this time before going to Thailand to compete in the 33rd SEA Games.

Tennis players Le Duc Phat and Nguyen Hai Dang competed at the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia in 2023 but did not win any medals. The two athletes have never won medals in their participation in the SEA Games before.

This year, the Vietnamese badminton team participated in the 2025 Asian Championship and the 2025 World Championship. The players have participated in this arena but have not had the highest results.

The Vietnamese badminton team has expert Hariawan (Indonesia) participating in professional training for tennis players in Bac Ninh to have the best expertise for the 33rd SEA Games arena.

The last time the Vietnam Badminton Team won a medal was at the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam (held in 2022). We had 3 bronze medals at that time, however, tennis players Le Duc Phat and Nguyen Hai Dang were not on the medal list.
