host Thailand has revealed the first images of the medals to be awarded at the 33rd SEA Games in December.

The Thai Organizing Committee of the 33rd SEA Games has announced that the design of the official medal model will be awarded for competition achievements at this year's Games.

Accordingly, the 3 models of gold, silver, and bronze medals have official images. The medal design this time was created by the Organizing Committee to combine sports with the culture of the host country. The message each medal brings to each athlete is: PLAY BY THE RULES.

The organizers said that the medal was designed on a material with high durability with a diameter of 8.5cm and a thickness of 0.8cm.

The medal has the logo of the 2025 SEA Games on the front and the logo of the Southeast Asian Sports Federation on the rear. Each medal awarded to an athlete with an achievement also clearly states the competition in which they have results.

According to the organizer's description, the medal background is designed to be awarded at the 33rd SEA Games with typical motifs of Thai culture as well as conveying messages about the connection of people and cultures in countries in the region with host Thailand.

The 33rd SEA Games will have 574 events of 50 sports organized, meaning that 574 sets of medals will be awarded to athletes with the best results. There are 3 sports (including 12 events) with the nature of competing in performance not including total performance.
