Cambodia Billiards Federation refuses to participate in SEA Games 33

The Cambodian Billiards Federation (CBSF) has just announced that it will not send athletes to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.

According to Cambodian media, CBSF confirmed that billiards athletes will not only not participate in the 2025 SEA Games but will also not participate in any tournaments of this sport held in Thailand until the end of this year. The federation stressed that any athlete who arbitrarily participates will not be considered an official representative of the country and must take personal responsibility for safety.

CBSF said it will consider sending athletes to the tournament when security guarantees are guaranteed and border conditions return to normal.

The Cambodian billiards team had an impressive achievement at the 2023 SEA Games hosted by Cambodia, with 2 gold medals and 4 silver medals, ranking 4th out of 9 countries participating in this sport.

Currently, other Cambodian sports federations are still preparing their national teams normally and aiming for the 2025 SEA Games as planned.
