The information was shared by the Organizing Committee of the 33rd SEA Games at the Media and Television Conference taking place in Bangkok (Thailand).
The conference was held on September 8 and 9 with the participation of representatives of television stations in Thailand and the region. The 33rd SEA Games Organizing Committee has not announced the list of 25 sports that will be broadcast live on television.
It is not yet determined whether television stations will have to pay the fee of 20,000 USD to the Organizing Committee of the 33rd SEA Games. Thailand continues to negotiate with each country's Olympic Committee and representatives of broadcasting units to agree on broadcasting fees.
Currently, 6 Thai TV channels have registered to broadcast the 33rd SEA Games competition program live, including One 31, Thai Rath TV 32, Channel 3, Amarin TV, NBT and T-Sports 7.
The 33rd SEA Games will be held from December 9 to 20 in Bangkok, Chonbori and Songkhla. This event has 50 official sports and 3 demonstration sports included in the organization.
It is expected that the competition in Bangkok will take place in swimming, water badminton, billiards, artistic swimming, archery, badminton, athletics, softball, basketball, bowling, boxing, cricket, school bicycles, BMX bicycles, polo horse racing, electronic sports, mountain climbing, figure skating, figure-playing, sword fighting, taekwondo, men's football, 5-a-side hockey, ice and disc disc disc, ice and slide, jujitsu, kickboxing, badminton, iron balls, volleyball, cloud bridge, shooting, squash, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, disc throwing, tug of war.
Chonburi is expected to host long-distance swimming, paragliding, 5 modern sports, sailing, billiards & snooker, canoeing, rowing, mountain bike, mountain bike racing, women's football, indoor hockey, field hockey, golf, throwing, teqball, weightlifting, triathlon, wood ball.
Songkhla City plans to organize pencak silat, kabaddi, chess, judo, wushu, men's football, muay, physical education, Karate.
