With only 3 days left, the 2025 AVC Nations Cup will kick off at the Dong Anh District Gymnasium, Hanoi. The Vietnam women's volleyball team is entering the final training phase before the opening match.
Currently, most of the players are physically and professionally qualified for the tournament. Only opposite setter Bich Tuyen has a back injury and is in the process of recovering positively.
The coaching staff hopes that the 2000-born setter will recover in time to compete. Bich Tuyen and Thanh Thuy are two of the top hitters of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, especially when the team is determined to defend the Asian championship.
At the AVC Nations Cup 2025, the Vietnam women's volleyball team will enter Group A with opponents Australia, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China) and India. This is considered a fairly easy group for coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team when the opponents are not too strong.
According to the match schedule, the Vietnam women's volleyball team will face Hong Kong (China) in the opening match on June 7. After that, Thanh Thuy and her teammates will meet Taiwan (China) on June 8, India on June 11 and Australia on June 12.
Meanwhile, Group B includes the women's volleyball teams of Kazakhstan, the Philippines, Iran, Indonesia, Mongolia and New Zealand.
