The Vietnamese women's volleyball team ranked 31st in this tournament in Thailand. The team has played three matches in Group G with a result of 1-3 loss to Poland, 0-3 loss to Germany and 0-3 loss to Kenya.
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team won a set and lost nine sets. In terms of points, the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team scored 188 points, losing 248 points.
The 2025 World Volleyball Championship has 32 participating teams. The tournament organizers do not compete in the qualifying round for the 16 eliminated teams. Teams are considered for ranking based on the ratio of points achieved and points lost along with secondary indicators.
The Vietnam women's volleyball team is only above Cameroon, ranked 32nd. The teams ranked above the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team from 17th to 30th place are Ukraine, Spain, Sweden, Kenya, Greece, Argentina, Cuba, Mexico, Czech Republic, Colombia, Bulgaria, Puerto Rico, Egypt and Slovakia.
The World Championship has determined 16 teams for the next round and pairs up to compete on August 29: Netherlands - Serbia; Japan - Thailand. August 30: Italy Germany; Poland Belgium. August 31: Brazil Dominican Republic; China France. September 1: US - Canada; Turkey - Slovenia.
The winning teams in each pair continue to qualify for the quarterfinals, then compete for a place in the semi-finals and finals. The final match took place on September 7 local time in Thailand.
The Vietnam women's volleyball team returned home on August 28 and completed the first training session of 2025.
