Kazakhstan women's volleyball player burst into tears after suffering a serious injury

Kazakhstan women's volleyball team's No. 1 star, Sana Anarkulova, was taken to the emergency room after suffering a serious ankle injury.

On the afternoon of June 11, the Kazakhstan women's volleyball team faced Iran in the group stage of the AVC Nations Cup 2025.

In set 4, when the two teams were playing for attractive points, Kazakhstan's number 1 striker - Sana Anarkulova suddenly suffered an injury. In a blocking jump, Sana Anarkulova jumped high and landed poorly. Her ankle was overturned.

Immediately after that situation, this hitter appeared to be in a lot of pain. She could not continue to play and was taken off the field by the medical team. Sana Anarkulova was in pain and burst into tears as medical staff bangled and checked her ankle.

Due to the seriousness of the injury, Sana was taken to an ambulance to check the exact extent of the injury.

At the end of the match, Kazakhstan defeated Iran with a score of 3-1 (25-14, 25-18, 22-25, 26-24), thereby maintaining an unbeaten streak. This victory helped them lead Group B with 12 absolute points, ensuring a ticket to the semi-finals.

However, the victory of the Central Asian team was not complete as Sana Anarkulova was predicted to suffer a serious injury and was left uncertain to play in the upcoming matches.

At the AVC Nations Cup 2025, Sana is having an outstanding performance. She scored a total of 38 points after 3 matches, including 28 points from attacks, 4 points from blocks and 6 points from direct serve.

The No. 1 star of the Kazakhstan women's volleyball team is temporarily ranked 4th in the list of top scorers of the tournament. Her stable performance is one of the main reasons why Kazakhstan has maintained their unbeaten record so far.
