After two days off, the Vietnam women's volleyball team will return to compete in the group stage of the AVC Nations Cup 2025 today (June 11).
Currently, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team are leading Group A with two wins. The defending champion team has overcome Hong Kong (China) and Taiwan (China) without losing a set.
According to statistics, opposite Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen was the team's top scorer with 30 points. Following is captain Thanh Thuy with 23 points. The next names are Nguyen Uyen with 18 points, Bich Thuy with 12 points, Kieu Trinh and Nguyen Phuong with 11 points.
The most positive point from the two recent victories is that coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet has launched many different teams. All 14 players were given the opportunity to play to express themselves and also to give the players a ready state to enter the field in case they have a position below their performance.

The 1976-born coach assessed that although the team's first step has made progress, he is not really satisfied with the defensive ability and performance of the middle blockers.
Mr. Kiet affirmed that during the two days off, the coaching staff will help the players regain their confidence, continue to create opportunities for other athletes to compete more.
On the other side, India is at the bottom of Group A. They have 1 point after losing 6 sets and have only won 3 sets.
The Indian girls lost 2-3 to Hong Kong (China) and 1-3 to Australia respectively. This has shown that the strength and performance of this team will be rated lower than the host Vietnam in the upcoming match.
Against an opponent like India, it is likely that coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet will continue to boldly experiment with personnel. Key players such as Thanh Thuy and Bich Tuyen will be taken off, while players such as Bich Thuy, Nguyen Thi Phuong, Nguyen Thi Uyen... will be put on the field so that the coaching staff can have a professional assessment and look at the coordination areas.
The match between the Vietnamese and Indian women's volleyball teams will take place at 8:00 p.m. today (June 11) at the Dong Anh District Gymnasium, Hanoi.
