The 2026 Southeast Asian Jujitsu Championship has closed with decisive finals in Cambodia.
In the end, the Vietnamese jujitsu team won the No. 1 position overall with a total of 120 gold medals, 113 silver medals and 112 bronze medals.
Contributing to the overall achievement of the Vietnamese jujitsu team in Cambodia, martial artist Dao Hong Son won 2 gold medals on the final day of competition.
This male athlete surpassed teammate Pham Van Nam to win a gold medal in the Men's 56kg Contact event and won Chew Zheng Hui (Singapore) to win the No Gi men's 56kg event championship.
In addition to the above results, on the last day, the coaching staff of the Vietnamese jujitsu team also finalized some notable achievements such as the gold medal in the No Gi event in the 69kg weight class of Dang Dinh Tung.
In this year's tournament, Dang Dinh Tung lost in 2 finals of the Men's Fighting 69kg and Men's Contact 69kg events but managed to win 2 gold medals (Men's No Gi 69kg, Men's Newaza 69kg events).
Last year, Dang Dinh Tung was the only martial artist to win a gold medal for the Vietnamese jujitsu team at SEA Games 33.
Also at the tournament, martial artist Lo Thi Phung won 1 gold medal on the last day when she won the No Gi 52kg women's event. Previously, she had a bronze medal in the Newaza 52kg women's event and a silver medal in the Contact 52kg women's event.
In this year's tournament, in addition to the content for the championship system, the teams also participate in youth group competitions for U10, U12, U14, U16, U18 and U21.
In the rankings, the second place is the Philippines team (30 gold medals, 25 silver medals, 34 bronze medals).
The Singapore team is in third place with 16 gold medals, 11 silver medals and 17 bronze medals.
