On June 13, the 2026 National Youth Athletics Championships closed at Thai Nguyen Stadium. The last day, 10 events were contested to close this year's tournament.
On the last day, the young athletic athlete from Tay Ninh continued to be in high form, winning 3 more gold medals respectively in the men's javelin throw event for the 2011-2012 age group (Nguyen Nhat Tinh, achievement: 49m16), 4x400m relay for men (age group 2011-2014, 3 minutes 31 seconds 05), 4x400m relay for women (age group 2011-2014, 4 minutes 01 seconds 07).
On the last day, the teams Quang Tri, Thanh Hoa, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Hung Yen... also won more gold medals.
The tournament has closed with the Tay Ninh delegation winning the overall No. 1 position. The young Tay Ninh athletics athlete won a total of 15 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals.
Second place is the Army team with 10 gold medals, 8 silver medals, 8 bronze medals.
Third place is Quang Tri team with a result of 9 gold medals, 2 silver medals, 1 bronze medal.
This year, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City units participated with a large number of athletes but did not fall into the group of 5 delegations with the best results. Ho Chi Minh City Youth Athletics only achieved 4 gold medals, 4 silver medals, 8 bronze medals, so it ranked 8th.
Hanoi Youth Athletics has 3 gold medals, 5 silver medals, 7 bronze medals, ranked 11th.
The entire tournament had more than 700 athletes from 36 units registered to compete. Lai Chau is the only unit that did not win a medal in this year's tournament.
