According to the plan, the main members of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation (including the Head of the Delegation) will come to China to compete in the 2026 Asian Beach Games on April 20. The Games will be officially held from April 22 to April 30.
On the morning of April 10, leaders of the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports met with members of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation to assign competition tasks. Vietnamese beach sports teams aim to strive for gold medals.
The Vietnamese sports delegation participating in the 2026 Asian Beach Games includes 90 members. The head of the delegation is Mr. Le Thanh Ha (Deputy Head of the High-Performance Sports Department, Vietnam Sports Administration).
We participate in sports including athletics, swimming, traditional boat racing, jujitsu, handball, wrestling, sailing and teqball.
In this competition, famous athlete Nguyen Huy Hoang (swimming) participated in the competition. Huy Hoang is being trained in China.
The Vietnamese swimming team registered 4 athletes to participate in open water swimming events of the 2026 Asian Beach Games.
The last time the Asian Beach Games took place was in 2016 in Da Nang. After 10 years, the Games were re-organized. This year, the sports sector did not organize a send-off ceremony for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation to depart to compete in the 2026 Asian Beach Games. This year's Games have 14 sports with 62 sets of medals organized.
