Women's 4x400m relay athletics team goes to France for training from October 1

The Vietnam women's 4x400m relay athletics team will go to France on October 1 to participate in a training program to improve their skills.

The training plan in France for the women's 4x400m athletics team has been completed. The coaching staff sent 4 coaching players including Nguyen Thi Hang, Hoang Thi Minh Hanh, Nguyen Thi Ngoc and Le Thi Tuyet Mai. Athletes who train in France for more than 3 weeks will then return home.

The women's 4x400m relay team is focused on preparing professionally to participate in the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand. In addition, the athletes are preparing for the 2026 ASIAD.

The training program was supported by the Vietnam - France Friendship and Cooperation Association and the Francophone Community Sports Association, which signed a cooperation agreement in the field of sports with the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports.

On September 23, the French Ambassador to Vietnam met with the coaches and athletes of the women's 4x400m relay team before going to training.

In May this year in Korea, the women's 4x400m relay team competed for the silver medal at the 2025 Asian Championship with a result of 3 minutes 34 seconds 77.

The coach of this event at the Vietnam Athletics Team is Ms. Nguyen Thi Bac. In early September, the Vietnam Athletics Team hired expert Valerii (Ukraine) to train the women's 400m distance athletes.

The women's 4x400m relay team won the gold medal at the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia with a result of 3 minutes 33 seconds 05". Athletes receive the target of defending their championship title at the upcoming 33rd SEA Games.
