The coaching staff of the Vietnamese Youth Boxing Team said that the tournament will attract professionally skilled boxers from the U19 and U23 age groups in Asia.

Earlier this year, the Vietnamese youth boxing team sent 9 athletes to compete in the 2026 World Youth Olympic Qualifiers held in Thailand.
However, Vietnamese boxing has not been officially announced for participation in the 2026 World Youth Olympics to be held in Senegal in October. Before this tournament, the young Vietnamese boxer competed in the 2026 Youth Championship for the U15 and U17 age groups. We won 3 medals in this tournament.
