According to monitoring data from the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro project construction unit, some points in lane 7 Giang Van Minh (Hanoi) have subsidence exceeding the warning threshold.

As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on the night of February 27, people in Lane 7 Giang Van Minh (Ba Dinh District, Hanoi) - where the problem of overflowing sugarcane digging in metro - had to be urgently evacuated due to cracks appearing on the road and in their homes.

Regarding the above incident, the Investor of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro project, the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station Urban Railway Project Management Board (MRB), has provided initial assessment information.

Accordingly, during the construction of the tunnel section of the city's pilot urban railway project, the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station section (Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro), the project uses a modern technical geological monitoring system to closely monitor the movement and subsidence of the ground.

On February 27, 2025, observational data showed that some points in lane 7 Giang Van Minh (where the tunnel excavator runs through - PV) had subsidence exceeding the warning threshold.

According to the highest safety principle, the project has decided to relocate 11 additional households in lane 7, Giang Van Minh street. Previously, 4 households had been temporarily relocated according to the original plan of the Project.

During the temporary residence process, the project will support each household with a total of 16 million VND to ensure a stable life during the temporary residence process.

All households agreed with the project's support policy and coordinated closely to facilitate the project's implementation to ensure progress.

During the time that households are temporarily residing, the project will continue to conduct inspections, assessments and have solutions to reinforce the land to ensure the safety of related works. This process is expected to last about 1 month.

According to the actual records of PV in lane 7 Giang Van Minh, some houses have been sealed, the remaining households will be relocated and sealed no later than tonight (February 27).

Households must temporarily reside for 1 - 3 months depending on the level of impact.

"We fully support the state's policy and are ready to coordinate relocation to ensure safety. I hope that relevant functional units will have a detailed assessment of the impact and have a plan to overcome and protect people's property," Ms. Pham Thi Xuyen (lane 7 Giang Van Minh) shared.

According to MRB, before starting the construction, the investor requested the contractor to buy third-party liability insurance. As soon as the signs of impact were detected, the insurance unit conducted a survey, assessment and statistics to compensate the affected households, if any.

The project investor is committed to continuing to closely monitor the situation, listen to people's opinions and coordinate with relevant parties to ensure safety and transparency in the incident handling process.
