On July 27, coach Mai Duc Chung and striker Huynh Nhu arrived in Australia to attend the draw for the 2026 Asian Cup Women's finals.

Before the draw, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the local organizing committee (LOC) arranged many sideline activities.

On the morning of July 28, coach Mai Duc Chung and captain Huynh Nhu represented the Vietnam women's team to attend the "Welcome to the Teams" event and take a souvenir photo at Hickson Road Reserve outdoor park, with the participation of New South Wales leaders and the tournament organizers.

On the same afternoon, the team members continued to participate in photo and video recording activities at the Australian Stadium, serving the communication and promotion work for the tournament.

The official draw ceremony will take place on the evening of July 29. Immediately after that, representatives of the Vietnam women's team and other teams will continue to participate in communication activities such as group photos and quick interviews.

The 2026 Asian Women's Football Tournament is scheduled to be held in early March 2026, gathering 12 teams including host Australia, Bangladesh, China, Taiwan (China), the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, India, Iran, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

This is considered a top playground, where the Vietnamese women's team aims to win a ticket to the 2027 Women's World Cup finals.
