Mr. Park Hang-seo has just been elected to hold the position of Vice President of the Korean Football Federation for the 2025-2028 term. The visit is meaningful, especially the touching reunion with Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc (Germany), who played an important role in Mr. Park's journey with Vietnamese football.
Here, Mr. Park was welcomed by Mr. Duc, Executive Director of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club - Nguyen Tan Anh, coach Vu Tien Thanh - Technical Director and Director of LPBank Hoang Anh Gia Lai Academy along with about 200 members of the coaching staff, players and trainees.
The atmosphere of the meeting was as intimate as family reunion, with affectionate eyes, warm handshakes and emotional greetings.
After the greeting, Mr. Park visited the facilities of LPBank Hoang Anh Gia Lai Academy. He highly appreciated the changes and modernization here, from sports science rooms, medicine, audio-visical rooms, to physical education rooms.
He said that compared to previous years, the academy has made significant improvements, meeting the standards to serve national teams. In addition, the design and decoration of slogans in the rooms create great motivation for players and students during the training process.
During this visit, Mr. Park presented Mr. Duc with a special card, marking his new position.
He shared that this was the first time the certificate of Vice President of the Korean Federation of Labor was awarded in Vietnam, and the recipient was Mr. Duc, who he always cherished for his great support during more than 5 years of working in Vietnam.
Mr. Park did not forget to mention the first meeting between the two in Seoul, the beginning of the brilliant success period of Vietnamese football.
For his part, Mr. Duc sent his sincere thanks to Mr. Park for the visit and wished him success in his new position, and hoped that the Korean team would compete well in the 2026 World Cup Finals.
Currently, coach Park Hang-seo is running the Park Hang-seo International Football Academy in Vietnam and is an advisor for the Bac Ninh Second Division team. Some students from his academy have joined LPBank Hoang Anh Gia Lai Academy, showing a lasting connection between the two sides.
It is expected that in the afternoon of the same day, coach Park will attend the match between Hoang Anh Gia Lai and Da Nang at Pleiku Stadium.
