Coach Cristiano Roland of U17 Vietnam believes that the continuous competition density will be a challenge in the 2026 U17 Asian qualifiers.

On November 21, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (Hanoi), the organizing committee of Group C of the 2026 U17 Asian qualifiers held a press conference before the tournament with the participation of the head coaches of the U17 teams of Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong (China), Macao (China) and the Northern Mariana Islands.

Speaking at the press conference, U17 Vietnam head coach Cristiano Roland said: "The team has had an active preparation process, in which the training trip in Japan brought many valuable experiences to the young players".

He emphasized that the whole team is in good spirits, focusing on the opening match, and at the same time set a goal of passing the group stage to participate in the 2026 U17 Asian Cup finals.

Coach Roland also shared: "The current squad has many players who participated in the U17 Asian finals last year and are eager to return to this arena".

However, he noted that the frequency of 5 matches in 10 days will be a big challenge, requiring the recovery and rotation of forces to be effectively implemented.

Group C of the 2026 U17 Asian qualifiers promises exciting and competitive matches. With home advantage, careful preparation and high determination, U17 Vietnam is expected to play explosively and complete the goal of winning a ticket to the final round.

U17 Vietnam will play the opening match against U17 Singapore on November 22 at PVF Stadium.
