Schedule of Group C of the 2026 U17 Asian qualifiers in Vietnam

MINH PHONG |

Updated competition schedule of Group C of the 2026 U17 Asian qualifiers with the participation of U17 Vietnam.

Group C of the 2026 U17 Asian qualifiers will take place at PVF Stadium with the participation of 6 teams: U17 Vietnam, U17 Malaysia, U17 Singapore, U17 Hong Kong (China), U17 Northern Mariana Islands and U17 Macau (China).

In the opening match, U17 Vietnam will meet U17 Singapore at 19:00 on November 22.

To prepare for the tournament, U17 Vietnam started to gather from the end of October, based on the framework of outstanding faces in the 2025 National U17 tournament.

The highlight of the training process was the long training trip in Japan. Here, coach Cristiano Roland and his team played 3 friendly matches with quite positive results when they won U18 Imabari, drew with Matsuyama University and only lost a narrow gap to U18 Ehime.

These matches help the coaching staff better assess the abilities of each position, while perfecting tactical options before entering important tournaments.

This year, the U17 Asian qualifiers have many changes. Accordingly, 38 teams are divided into 7 groups (3 groups of 6 teams, 4 groups of 5 teams). Only the top team in each group will qualify for the final round, making the race more fierce.

In addition to the top 7 teams, there are 9 teams in the final round that have secured their place, including host Saudi Arabia, host FIFA U17 World Cup 2026 - Qatar and 7 teams that have reached the quarter-finals of the 2025 AFC U17 Championship.

The 2026 U17 Asian qualifiers will take place from November 22 to 30, 2025.
