On the evening of November 26, U17 Vietnam continued to maintain impressive form when defeating U17 Hong Kong (China) with a score of 2-0, thereby winning the 3rd consecutive victory in the U17 Asian qualifiers.
After the match, coach Cristiano Roland expressed his satisfaction with his players' fighting spirit and tactical adaptability.
The Brazilian coach said he had predicted a challenging match before and that Hong Kong U17 (China) was not an easy opponent to overcome. However, the Vietnamese players have overcome difficult times to affirm their advantage.
Coach Roland shared: "In times of need to explode, the team showed their mettle and showed that they were a stronger team. I am satisfied with the performance of the whole team, especially when they have to compete with high density. The players deserve to be praised.

Regarding the change in tactical diagrams, Mr. Roland said that the competition system is not the only deciding factor. What is more important is the understanding and ability to implement the requirements of the coaching staff.
There is no perfect diagram. I am happy that the players grasp the philosophy and do all tasks well. What I hope is for the whole team to continue to improve to maintain the highest form, coach Roland emphasized.
Before the statement from coach Takuro Hosaka of Hong Kong U17 (China) that they "can score up to 4 goals against Vietnam U17", coach Roland remained calm and said that the final result accurately reflects what happened on the field.
The match ended with a score of 2-0. For us, the task is to continue researching the next opponent and improving after each match. The important thing is that the players get more mature with each playground, he said.
With 3 wins in all matches, U17 Vietnam continues to have the advantage in the race for a place in the U17 Asian finals. In the next round, U17 Vietnam will face U17 Macao (China) on November 28.
