On the afternoon of September 22, the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run Press Conference - For Peace in 2025 took place in Hanoi.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Lai Ba Ha - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Moi Newspaper said: "This is a sporting event of great socio-political significance held annually, one of the key sports activities of Hanoi city to celebrate the 71st anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital; 26 years of Hanoi being recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UN UNESCO) as the City for Peace.
With special attention and direction from the city to the grassroots, up to now, most communes and wards in the city have organized grassroots-level general running tests. The number of participants in the test run exceeded the set target. The quality of the competition has also been significantly improved.
Up to now, all preparations for the tournament have been completed. The Organizing Committee also received the support of many businesses".
According to the schedule, the final round of the race will open at 7:00 a.m. on September 28 in the Ba Kieu Temple flower garden area.
The tournament has the participation of more than 3,000 athletes and officials from communes, universities, colleges, and vocational secondary schools - vocational training in Hanoi and other provinces and cities; including 250 foreigners who are officials and staff of 20 embassies, international organizations, and international schools studying and working in Hanoi.
The competition contents include:
- Movement: Run 1,750m for men and women in the secondary and high school sector of the ward; run 1,750m for women in universities, colleges, vocational high schools, vocational schools, foreigners; run 3,500m for men in universities, colleges, vocational high schools, vocational schools, foreigners; run 3,500m for female workers in production and armed forces, run 5,250m for male workers in production and armed forces (3 rounds of Hoan Kiem Lake).
- Enhancement (for athletes of the track and field teams of provinces and cities): running 5,250m for women in the open event; running 8,750m for men in the open event.

This year, some national players, former players and young athletes will participate in the tournament: Le Van Thao, Hoang Mai Ly, Trinh Quoc Hung, Dao Minh Tri, Ba Van Han...
Regarding the award structure, the organizing committee will award individual prizes to male and female athletes ranked from 1 to 5. award team prizes to teams ranked from 1 to 3 in each group.
The First, Second and Third prizes for the whole group will be awarded to 3 groups: Commune and Ward groups; University, College, Vocational High School, Vocational Education groups and expanded groups. The total prize value is nearly 250,000,000 VND.
