Late tonight, September 16, members of the Vietnamese swimming team, including swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang, went to Japan to begin their journey to conquer the ASIAD 20 medal achievement.
Notably, swimming will take place in Tokyo (Japan) without competing in Aichi-Nagoya.
Therefore, the whole team focuses on professional preparation to get acquainted with the competition area before official competition.
The Vietnamese swimming team has registered 10 athletes to participate in ASIAD 20.
Among them, the top 3 faces are Nguyen Huy Hoang, Tran Hung Nguyen, Pham Thanh Bao participating. Along with them, the team also includes Mai Tran Tuan Anh, Nguyen Viet Tuong, Tran Van Nguyen Quoc, Nguyen Quang Thuan, Duong Van Hoang Quy, Vo Thi My Tien and Nguyen Thuy Hien.
10 players of the Vietnamese swimming team have just been trained in China in different professional groups.
However, everyone is aiming for the goal of winning medals at ASIAD 20.
At ASIAD 19, swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang won 2 bronze medals (400m freestyle, 800m freestyle). These are the only 2 medals of the Vietnamese swimming team at ASIAD 19.
This year, we expect young faces like Tran Van Nguyen Quoc, Nguyen Thuy Hien or Mai Tran Tuan Anh, Duong Van Hoang Quy to be able to surprise.
ASIAD 20 swimming event is held from September 20 to September 25.
The coaching staff of the Vietnamese swimming team believes that all swimmers will be able to get used to the climate and the competition area in time to stabilize their expertise and be ready to compete officially.
