In this focus list, coach Diego Giustozzi continues to put his faith in the pillars who have affirmed their ability and experience in international competition.
Familiar faces such as goalkeeper Pham Van Tu, fixo Pham Duc Hoa, Nguyen Manh Dung, Nhan Gia Hung, Ala Chau Doan Phat, Tu Minh Quang and grantors Nguyen Thinh Phat and Nguyen Da Hai all participated, creating a stable framework for the team.

In addition, the team welcomed the return of 2 experienced players Tran Thai Huy and Ngo Ngoc Son. This duo, along with Nguyen Minh Tri and Pham Duc Hoa, are all players who have made great contributions to the historical journey of helping Vietnam futsal participate in the 2016 Futsal World Cup for the first time. The return of veterans not only increases professional strength but also helps inspire and experience international competition for young players.
Notably, coach Diego Giustozzi also gave the opportunity to rookie Nguyen Tien Hung, a promising young player who has grown up from Thai Son Nam training center in Ho Chi Minh City. This player has just been honored as the Best Player of the Ho Chi Minh City U20 Open Futsal Tournament in 2025, and is expected to increase the competitiveness of the team in preparation for the 33rd SEA Games.
According to the plan, the Vietnam futsal team will train in Ho Chi Minh City from November 10 to December 10, 2025, then will leave for Thailand to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.
The men's futsal event of the 33rd SEA Games has 5 participating teams, including Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Myanmar. The teams will compete in a round robin to determine the final rankings. With an even force, determination and careful preparation, the Vietnam futsal team aims to enter the top 2 leading teams.
In addition, the Vietnam women's futsal team under the leadership of coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang will gather from November 2 and start training a day later, towards the 33rd SEA Games taking place in Thailand in December. The whole team has more than 4 weeks of preparation, in which the training period in China is considered an important stepping stone, with two friendly matches with the Vietnam women's futsal team in early December.

The team includes pillars who have participated in the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship, combined with many promising young faces. The Vietnam women's futsal team is in the same group as Indonesia and Myanmar, aiming to reach the finals and achieve the highest results at the 33rd SEA Games.
