In a vibrant and exciting atmosphere, representatives of more than 50 football teams and more than 700 athletes from junior high schools, high schools and higher education institutions, and basketball training centers in Hanoi gathered at Hanoi Children's Palace ( Facility 2), to attend the opening ceremony of the GMB League season 1.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, journalist Nguyen Tien Binh - Vice President of the Association of Vietnamese Universities and Colleges, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Education Electronic Magazine, Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament affirmed: This is not simply a sports tournament but this is also the first milestone, the beginning of a promising journey - where the spirit of school sports is aroused, nurtured and widely spread in the educational community.
This year's tournament is the first season organized, but it is a great pride that it has attracted the participation of more than 50 basketball teams from junior high schools, high schools and universities, basketball training centers in Hanoi.
That shows the increasingly strong desire to practice, compete and contribute of the younger generation, and also reflects the serious interest and investment of schools, families and society in physical activities and school sports.
"Through this tournament, we hope to create a useful, healthy and in-depth playground, where students not only compete to win but also learn to accept challenges, respect opponents, overcome their own limits, and most importantly, understand the value of team spirit, discipline and perseverance.
This is not simply a sports tournament, but also the first milestone, the first step for the GMB League Organizing Committee on the journey to create a new playground for basketball lovers", journalist Nguyen Tien Binh emphasized.

Expressing her confidence in the success of the tournament, Ms. Nguyen Mai Tam - Director of MVP Basketball Academy, under MTV M4V Limited Liability Company, emphasized: The tournament hopes to create a physical training playground, improve spiritual life and study effectively for students across the country, contributing to building a common home - a place where they can freely practice their passion, nurture and spread love widely in the community.

Student - Student Basketball Tournament: Vietnam Education e-magazine Cup & MVP Academy 2025 is a tournament jointly organized by Vietnam Education e-magazine and MVP Basketball Academy, under MTV M4V Limited Liability Company.
This is also the first inter-level basketball tournament at all 3 levels of education, including junior high school, high school and university. Participating in the tournament, teams can gather, compete and spread their passion for the orange ball on a professional playground, strongly connecting the community.
Not only stopping at the scale of expanding organization, GMB League also pioneers in applying systematic support and health care policies for athletes, when the health care and safety of athletes are always of interest and focus to the Organizing Committee.

Right after the opening ceremony are two promising opening matches for the U18 men's team - the first matches in the tournament's journey.
The first match was a confrontation between the Yen Hoa High School team and the team from Kim Lien High School - two names that have affirmed their professional and dedicated playing style.
The second match is an equally exciting competition between the Chu Van An High School football team and Vinschool The Harmony, one of the schools with a strong tradition of school sports.
