Hoang Xuan Vinh - Olympic Gold Scorer
Shooter Hoang Xuan Vinh is an athlete who achieved a historic feat with 1 gold medal and 1 silver medal at the 2016 Olympics. This is still the best achievement of Vietnamese sports in the Olympic arena. The gold medal of shooter Hoang Xuan Vinh is considered a miracle that left the mark of Vietnamese sports in the world arena.
After retiring, shooter Hoang Xuan Vinh currently holds the rank of colonel and holds the role of head coach of the shooting team of the Military Sports and Physical Training Center.
Tran Hieu Ngan - Olympic medal opener
Taekwondo fighter Tran Hieu Ngan is the first Vietnamese player to win a silver medal at the Olympics. At the 2000 Olympics in Australia, the Vietnam Sports Delegation had 7 athletes participating, including 2 taekwondo fighters, Tran Hieu Ngan (57kg women's) and Nguyen Thi Xuan Mai (49kg women's). Boxer Tran Hieu Ngan entered the final match and won an unexpected medal for Vietnamese sports.
Although she later shared that she could have done better in the final match, for professionals, the silver medal of the 2000 Olympics is still a memorable mark in the career of boxer Tran Hieu Ngan. At the end of her competitive career, she moved to coaching and working at the Ho Chi Minh City Sports Unit.
Tran Quang Ha - Prestigious ASIAD Gold Medal
The first ASIAD gold medal of Vietnamese sports belonged to taekwondo fighter Tran Quang Ha. The Vietnamese fighter defeated his opponent Alfons Lung (Indonesia) in the 58kg weight class final to win the 1994 ASIAD championship. Former Director of the Department of High Performance Sports 1 (General Department of Physical Education and Sports) - Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh once assessed the gold medal of boxer Tran Quang Ha as a valuable achievement for Vietnamese sports to affirm their expertise in front of friends in the continent.
When he ended his career, Tran Quang Ha moved to coaching and working in Ho Chi Minh City.
Ngo Ngan Ha - A memorable player of the SEA Games

Vietnam attended the 15th SEA Games in 1989 in Malaysia, marking the return of Vietnamese sports to integrate with international tournaments. The Vietnamese sports delegation will participate in the 15th SEA Games with 42 athletes in 8 sports including athletics, swimming, shooting, table tennis, boxing, gymnastics, tennis and women's volleyball. Shooter Ngo Ngan Ha won the gold medal in the women's standard air rifle event at the 15th SEA Games in 1989 with a score of 583 points. In addition, she also won an additional gold medal for the women's team at the tournament.
This achievement recognizes shooter Ngo Ngan Ha as the first athlete to win a gold medal for Vietnamese sports at the SEA Games since we reintegrated. In her career, shooter Ngo Ngan Ha has 6 gold medals at the SEA Games. After competing, she participated in training and was a member of the coaching staff of the Vietnam shooting team before retiring.
Nguyen Thi Anh Vien - Fishing Ninh overcomes all challenges

Nguyen Thi Anh Vien is still the Vietnamese athlete who won the most individual medals at the SEA Games. Individual athletes won 25 gold medals through their participation in the SEA Games. At the 28th SEA Games in 2015 in Singapore, Nguyen Thi Anh Vien won 8 gold medals and broke 8 records of the Games.
Anh Vien participated in the 2016 Olympics and ranked 9th in the individual 400m mixed event. Currently, she has finished competing and switched to swimming instructors for children in Ho Chi Minh City.
