The Border Guard men's volleyball club has had its first title of the 2025 season when it won the Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup. One of the factors that contributed greatly to the above achievements of the army team is the middle blocker Tran Duy Tuyen.
Dinh Van Duy, the number one setter of the Border Guard team, shared: "In Border Guard, we have practiced together since we were young, so everyone understands each other. The team's domestic and foreign players are quite good compared to the general level of Vietnamese volleyball at present.
Regarding domestic players, I see that middle blocker Duy Tuyen has made remarkable progress. This player plays more diverse attacks. Tuyen and I also coordinated with each other to have more songs and get better understandings to bring points to the team".
Tran Duy Tuyen was born in 2001. With a height of about 1m91, on-site jumping power of 3m30, the middle blocker from Nam Dinh is known for her powerful and skillful playing style. Duy Tuyen's strength is the finishing situations in position 3, playing good, fast, and mischievous defense, especially the quick smashes on the net.
On the field, the Border Guard players always showed calmness and a comfortable mentality. This makes the 24-year-old player coordinate well with setter Dinh Van Duy to attack effectively. Under the guidance of coach Tran Dinh Tien, the male player is being given maximum conditions to develop.
If he performs well in the club's jersey, the opportunity for Duy Tuyen to be in the Vietnam men's volleyball team to compete in the 2025 tournaments is very large. This player was once in coach Tran Dinh Tien's squad in the team competing in international tournaments in 2024.
His personal mark was clearly shown when Duy Tuyen received the title of "Best Middle Blocker" at SEA V.League 2024. Working with coaches and teammates such as Ngoc Thuan, Dinh Van Duy and the Border Guard club helped Duy Tuyen have many opportunities to show off in the national team jersey.
Returning to the upcoming national championship, Duy Tuyen and her teammates entered the first stage with a lot of pressure when Bien Phong was the defending champion.
"All teams have human and professional preparation, so the chance of success in the national championship is divided equally. We believe that our students will maintain professional stability and above all, when on the field, they will all give their all for the Border Guard's jersey", coach Tran Dinh Tien shared after the Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup 2025.
With the "golden generation" including Duy Tuyen, Van Hiep, Ngoc Thuan, Dinh Van Duy, The Khai, Minh Duc... and promising young faces such as Duc Hoang, Duy Thanh, Huu Dat... the Border Guard men's volleyball team will certainly make all opponents wary.
As long as they are not subjective, each individual must maximize their ability to achieve excitement on the field, coach Tran Dinh Tien's team is fully capable of playing tactical variation, thereby realizing the goal of conquering titles in the 2025 season.
